Lise Gaston is a writer, academic, and teacher. Her first poetry collection, Cityscapes in Mating Season (Signature Editions), was named one of the ten “must-read” books of 2017 by the League of Canadian Poets. Her poetry, creative non-fiction, essays, and reviews have been published in journals across Canada, the US, and Ireland, and in Best Canadian Poetry. Lise has taught classes in Eighteenth-century and Victorian Literature, Women’s Writing, Adaptation, Pedagogy, Rhetoric & Composition, and Creative Writing at Concordia, Berkeley, and the University of British Columbia.
