The purpose of this policy forum, organized ‘by the CCSD in co-operation with
the Social Planning and Review Council of B.C., is to provide facts and
information in view of broadening the discussion and encourage public
participation in the public debate over the controversial issue of the
universality of income security programs.

The forum will be of special interest to individuals involved in provincial
and local planning bodies, faculty members and students in schools of social
work and administration, administrators of social services as well as labour
groups, human services agencies, anti-poverty groups and anyone concerned
with the future of social policy in Canada.

The presentation by Terrance Hunsley will be followed by comments by local
panelists and a general discussion with participants. Participants will be
provided with an information kit prepared by the CCSD.
