Workshop presented at the <a href="https://www.uvic.ca/hsd/cyc/assets/docs/FullProgram_CYCinActionConference2017_April24.pdf">Child and Youth Care in Action V: Embracing Challenge conference</a>, (April 2017), University of Victoria. Initial findings from an exploratory study on how learners make meaning of mindfulness in the classroom, with a focus on supporting the development of mindfulness in middle childhood. The session included hands-on activities that CYC practitioners can integrate into their practice with children and youth to support cognitive and self-regulatory development. Participants explored how CYC practitioners can utilize mindfulness to encourage reflexive practice.
