will have come and gone, and while next

week’s issue will feature a detailed recap of
the event, in this esteemed copy of The Other Press
you’ll have an article predicting the outcome of the
event three days before it was written.

B y the time you read this, Wrestlemania 26

¢ Money in the Bank ladder match: MITB,
which grants the winner a future title shot,
usually kicks of Wrestlemania each year, and
this year’s edition will feature Kane, Drew
McIntyre, Dolph Ziggler, Christian, Shelton
Benjamin, Jack Swagger, Evan Bourne, MVP
and Kofi Kingston.
Kingston had been receiving a strong push
before a recent mishap in a match with Randy
Orton, and he’s been jobbing out for a while
now. Christian is just coming off a long ECW
Championship reign and has yet to find a
place for himself on RAW, but he’s also one to
look out for. McIntyre and Benjamin are dark
horses, but no one else has a shot.
Predicted winner: Christian

¢ The Big Show and The Miz (c) vs. John
Morrison and R-Truth for the Unified Tag
Team Championships: This one won’t last
long. The Miz is on the way up through the
-cards and both Morrison and R-Truth have
been stalling for a while. Plus, they’re just a
random team thrown together. No way Big
Show and Miz lose.
Predicted winner: The Big Show and The Miz
retain

¢ Randy Orton vs. Ted Dibiase vs. Cody
Rhodes: This is a match that has bee subtly
building for a while now, and also one of
the most unpredictable on the card. Orton is
always a threat to win no matter who he’s
facing, and Dibiase appears to be on of the big

stars management is building up. Rhodes will
likely be the one getting pinned, and Orton has
been too dominant for too long, take Dibiase
to win.

- Predicted winner: Ted Dibiase

Rey Mysterio vs. CM Punk-Street Fight:
This has been a really heated feud, and while
Mysterio has been getting the better of Punk in
the last few weeks, it’s a classic good guy vs.
bad guy match up, and that means Mysterio
has a very strong chance of winning. This
could be one of the best matches of the night.
Predicted winner: Rey Mysterio

Triple H vs. Sheamus: This one should

be an awesome fight, but it’s very unclear
who should win. Triple H has headlined
Wrestlemania every year he’s been healthy
for pretty much the last decade, and Sheamus,
who is just coming off a WWE Championship
run, has only been around for about six
months. So for Triple H to take on a relative
rookie, that’s very unusual, and it most likely
means management has big things planned for
Sheamus.

Predicted winner: Sheamus

Vince McMahon vs. Bret Hart: Booked as
the ultimate grudge match, this feud has so far
been less then interesting, and there’s no doubt
Hart will pick up the win. Whenever Vince
steps into the ring it’s a pretty safe bet that
he’ll get his ass kicked, and this time should
be no different. Expect Hart, who was brought
back specifically for this one feud, to lock in
the sharpshooter for the win.

Predicted winner: Bret Hart

Chris Jericho (c) vs. Edge for the World
Heavyweight Championship: Edge won
the Royal Rumble, but Jericho just won the
world title, which means this one is pretty up

in the air. The Rumble winner usually does
pretty well at Wrestlemania, but everything is
pointing to an Edge win, which usually means
things are going the other direction.

This one should be close, and a fantastic match
to boot, but expect Edge to score the win.
Here’s a thought; Christian, who worked with
Edge years ago, could win MITB and then
cash in that night on Edge...

Predicted winner: Edge

Batista (c) vs. John Cena for the WWE
Championship: This is a clash of two of the
biggest stars in the company that has been
rumoured to happen for years. Now that it
finally has, it’s been a bit underwhelming, but
Cena has saved the feud with some awesome
mic work. Like Mysterio-Punk, it’s another
hero vs. villain match, so Cena will most likely
win the match, but it’ll still be great to watch,
as Cena always is at Wrestlemania.

Predicted winner: John Cena

Shawn Michaels vs. The Undertaker:
Despite it not being for a title, this is the
undisputed true main event of the evening,
and it’s a complete guess who will win. The
Undertaker has never lost at Wrestlemania;

he has a 17-year winning streak, but the
stipulation has been added that Michaels, who
lost to The Undertaker at Wrestlemania last
year, will have to retire if he loses this time
around.

It’s hard to believe that The Streak will be
broken by a 45-year-old who doesn’t have
many years left, but then again, Michaels is
one of the biggest stars in WWE history, and
it’s been rumoured that The Undertaker could
retire after this match. Really though, it doesn’t
matter who wins this match, it’ll be another
classic, just like last year.

Predicted winner: Shawn Michaels

which grants the winner a future title shot,
usually kicks of Wrestlemania each year, and
this year’s edition will feature Kane, Drew
McIntyre, Dolph Ziggler, Christian, Shelton
Benjamin, Jack Swagger, Evan Bourne, MVP
and Kofi Kingston.
Kingston had been receiving a strong push
before a recent mishap in a match with Randy
Orton, and he’s been jobbing out for a while
now. Christian is just coming off a long ECW
Championship reign and has yet to find a
place for himself on RAW, but he’s also one to
look out for. McIntyre and Benjamin are dark
horses, but no one else has a shot.
Predicted winner: Christian

¢ The Big Show and The Miz (c) vs. John
Morrison and R-Truth for the Unified Tag
Team Championships: This one won’t last
long. The Miz is on the way up through the
-cards and both Morrison and R-Truth have
been stalling for a while. Plus, they’re just a
random team thrown together. No way Big
Show and Miz lose.
Predicted winner: The Big Show and The Miz
retain

¢ Randy Orton vs. Ted Dibiase vs. Cody
Rhodes: This is a match that has bee subtly
building for a while now, and also one of
the most unpredictable on the card. Orton is
always a threat to win no matter who he’s
facing, and Dibiase appears to be on of the big

stars management is building up. Rhodes will
likely be the one getting pinned, and Orton has
been too dominant for too long, take Dibiase
to win.

- Predicted winner: Ted Dibiase

Rey Mysterio vs. CM Punk-Street Fight:
This has been a really heated feud, and while
Mysterio has been getting the better of Punk in
the last few weeks, it’s a classic good guy vs.
bad guy match up, and that means Mysterio
has a very strong chance of winning. This
could be one of the best matches of the night.
Predicted winner: Rey Mysterio

Triple H vs. Sheamus: This one should

be an awesome fight, but it’s very unclear
who should win. Triple H has headlined
Wrestlemania every year he’s been healthy
for pretty much the last decade, and Sheamus,
who is just coming off a WWE Championship
run, has only been around for about six
months. So for Triple H to take on a relative
rookie, that’s very unusual, and it most likely
means management has big things planned for
Sheamus.

Predicted winner: Sheamus

Vince McMahon vs. Bret Hart: Booked as
the ultimate grudge match, this feud has so far
been less then interesting, and there’s no doubt
Hart will pick up the win. Whenever Vince
steps into the ring it’s a pretty safe bet that
he’ll get his ass kicked, and this time should
be no different. Expect Hart, who was brought
back specifically for this one feud, to lock in
the sharpshooter for the win.

Predicted winner: Bret Hart

Chris Jericho (c) vs. Edge for the World
Heavyweight Championship: Edge won
the Royal Rumble, but Jericho just won the
world title, which means this one is pretty up

in the air. The Rumble winner usually does
pretty well at Wrestlemania, but everything is
pointing to an Edge win, which usually means
things are going the other direction.

This one should be close, and a fantastic match
to boot, but expect Edge to score the win.
Here’s a thought; Christian, who worked with
Edge years ago, could win MITB and then
cash in that night on Edge...

Predicted winner: Edge

Batista (c) vs. John Cena for the WWE
Championship: This is a clash of two of the
biggest stars in the company that has been
rumoured to happen for years. Now that it
finally has, it’s been a bit underwhelming, but
Cena has saved the feud with some awesome
mic work. Like Mysterio-Punk, it’s another
hero vs. villain match, so Cena will most likely
win the match, but it’ll still be great to watch,
as Cena always is at Wrestlemania.

Predicted winner: John Cena

Shawn Michaels vs. The Undertaker:
Despite it not being for a title, this is the
undisputed true main event of the evening,
and it’s a complete guess who will win. The
Undertaker has never lost at Wrestlemania;

he has a 17-year winning streak, but the
stipulation has been added that Michaels, who
lost to The Undertaker at Wrestlemania last
year, will have to retire if he loses this time
around.

It’s hard to believe that The Streak will be
broken by a 45-year-old who doesn’t have
many years left, but then again, Michaels is
one of the biggest stars in WWE history, and
it’s been rumoured that The Undertaker could
retire after this match. Really though, it doesn’t
matter who wins this match, it’ll be another
classic, just like last year.

Predicted winner: Shawn Michaels
