The article discusses the issues related to the sedentary behavior in school-going children and also mentions the reason for the sedentary behavior. It mentions the impact of childhood obesity that arises due to physical inactivity on the sedentary behavior and also mentions other factors including obesity, metabolic syndrome and academic achievement. It states that schools should implement programs to reduce the sedentary behavior in children.
